Ash Green Primary School is situated in the south-western suburbs of Stoke - on - Trent. The school has a  60 place full time Nursery. The housing stock is composed of residential estates of owner-occupied properties. The majority of pupils live in the immediate vicinity of the school with a minority travelling from the surrounding districts.
Ash Green is a large primary school with approximately 495 pupils. The ethos of the school is based on enjoyment and the provision of a wide ranging creative curriculum that enhances the childrens' experiences, increases their motivation to learn which results in high achievements.

At the Ofsted Inspection (March 2009), it was stated that the school "provides an outstanding education for its pupils".

"The school provides a "first class curriculum which provides an excellent balance between creative, physical and academic work".  Pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs, make outstanding progress.  One pupil is quoted as saying, "This school is about as good as it gets". "The school is well led and managed and provides outstanding value for money."

Achievement and standards, personal development and well-being, quality of provision, leadership and management and overall effectiveness  were all described as outstanding.

Currently Years 3,4, 5, 6 are in the main school building.
Year 2, Year 1, Reception, the Nursery  are accommodated in the Infant building.

The Infant building has been extended and refurbished over the last few years, so that we can now accommodate a 60 place Nursery and all of the Infant classes.

The outside play facilities for the Foundation Stage children have been extended with new play equipment.
New playground markings have been added.

The entire area is surrounded with security fencing.

We are currently in the process of developing further play facilities for the KS1 children.

The school has extensive grounds which allows for four playground areas. This means that the children can be spread out in age groups to avoid overcrowding. There is also a good sized football pitch and a large grassed area at the side of the main school, which extends the possibilities for general play and for P.E. and Games.

The school has an excellent reputation for team sports and sports development. The 7 a side football team have been County Champions for the last three years. The 11 a side team regularly win their league. We are consistently City Champions in the Cross-Country and Swimming events. Opportunities are created for the children to be involved in badminton, orienteering, skipping, rowing, canoeing, tennis, golf, athletics, basketball and rounders.

The school also has an excellent reputation for creative work including art, dance, music and drama.

Children from the school perform regularly in concerts, conferences and workshops at a variety of theatres and other venues.

The choirs have regularly taken part in competitions and won many trophies.

Over the last twelve years the school has been represented at a number of significant venues, including:-
